Kinesiology pronounced Kin-easy-ology, is a totally safe holistic approach to health care, the theory behind kinesiology involves a hand on approach involving testing muscles to find problems areas in the body and uses massage, touch, counselling and nutrition to help bring the body back to its natural healthy state holistically. Gentle muscle testing is used to evaluate the bodies overall condition using functions of the body in the structural, chemical, neurological and bio chemical realms within the body.
Kinesiology muscle testing however does not test for strength of the muscles but rather checks for integrity of many different factors which determine response when muscles are contracted. Testing cannot actually diagnose disease within the body but by analysing small imbalances detect minor functional imbalances within the body.
How does Kinesiology actually work?
Every one of us knows how our daily life can be stressful and the harm stress has on our body and there are many ways we can help to relive this stress, Kinesiology is a totally holistic approach that is safe for people of all ages that was discovered around the 1960`s.
It is an area that is constantly being improved upon and is often recommended by health care specialists as part of therapy in the aid of recovery as it is a system that offers plenty of self help techniques.
The theory behind it is that compensations compound against each other and this can lead to functional changes within the body which then gives us symptoms of discomfort, pain or brings out allergic reactions. Very often these simple warning signs from our body are ignored and this leads to disease rearing its ugly head.
Kinesiology therapy using massage, nutrition and contact points can help us with emotional problems, problems developing from anxiety, our dietary intake and nutritional deficiencies. Kinesiology takes the person as a whole and balances the body which is thought to then enhance our health and well being. Kinesiology is therefore used as a preventative rather than a cure in helping ward off disease.
Try this simple form of Kinesiology

This is the natural build up of stress inside of us, so the next time you get this feeling try this simple self help form of Kinesiology.
* Put the three middle fingers of each hand just above your eyebrows on your forehead, make sure your centre finger is in a vertical line with your iris.
* Begin to stretch the skin of your forehead upwards with very light pressure.
* With your fingers still in place and steady begin to focus intently on the cause of your stress, the problem behind it.
* If you feel your mind wandering off in another direction then force yourself to think intently about the problem until you cannot focus on it anymore.
When trying this exercise people very often say things such as “the problem just drifted away” or that the problem suddenly didn’t seem as important and it wasn’t worth the worry or that a solution came immediately to mind.
